Join the club
Well-Read Black Girl is all about our books & sisterhood. As a member of our sister circle, we invite you to read, reflect, and respond to the larger world around you! Together we can ignite change through reflecting on the work of prolific, Black women writers -- a wide-range of notable authors that include Toni Morrison, bell hooks, Alice Walker, and Maya Angelou.
Our reading list continues to grow daily with outstanding new multicultural voices like Elizabeth Acevedo, Min Jin Lee, and Nicole Dennis-Benn. Our mission is to bridge generations, disrupt publishing, and introduce these powerful voices to young readers across the diaspora.

Our book club selections focus on empowering the narratives of Black, Brown, and Indigenous writers. We encourage participants who identify as gender-fluid, non-binary, or others who feel inspired by what we’re doing to respectfully join us and be a part of our community.
